 2/12/2012 - Rumors of my death were greatly exagerated. Hey Tracemaniacs! No! I'm not dead. Just the opposite. Very... not dead. I havwe been busier that crap though. So many updates to give you. Where to start? Not sure. Hmmm. Okay, so I last left you all with the news that Traceman is now a grandpa. Well... make that a grandpa of two. Megan and Taylor had another daughter this past fall. They're all doing great. And as far as my alleged CD goes. Well... the good part is that the music is completely done and the three instrumentals have been sent out to my buddy Ron Gallagher out on the west coast for some amazing mixing. Actually, half of the songs are in Ron's care at present. The other five songs... they're still at 3P Studio here in East Lansing. The issue holding me back now?? Vocals! I'd talked to a couple different guys about doing them and it just didn't pan out. I thought being that we've worked magic in the studio I'd just do the vocals myself and then we'd do the magic on me. Yeah... nice thought on paper. But I have a David Gilmour or Gerry Rafferty type of softer voice that just doesn't work for some of the more aggressive songs. So... I'm again shopping for a singer. That's pretty much where that's at. Shopping for a singer. What else? As some know, I'm also an aspiring author and have been working on a couple differnt manuscripts actually. Shopping for a publisher though is a tough biz to break into. So I'm presently working on that. But in the meantime, I've got a children's picture book that is about to be published and up for sale on iBooks. It's a... cross between Dr. Suess and Mercer Meyer. I'm working with an incredible artist here in the East Lansing area, Paul McNeilly from ugli graphics. He's doing the illustrations and they look great. So I'll keep you posted on that one for sure as it appears that this will be published LONG before the CD is ready. Apart from that?? It's all business as usual. Doing the day IT job, doing the dad thing, and trying to do all of the fun stuff whenever I can. So stay posted and keep looking. We'll be making some HUGE changes on the site really soon here and there'll be a lot of new things. I'll give a shout out to everyone when that's ready to go.
